Our Story
Alicia (aka Lisa) Hill is Founder and Managing Director of BurkeWood Capital - a Multifamily Real Estate syndication firm with a multi-state portfolio valued at over $17 Million - and growing!
After graduating from the University of Virginia with a degree in Communications, Lisa spent nearly 20 years as an award-winning broadcaster. Lisa’s first introduction to Real Estate was owning her own interior design firm. In 2018, she took her love of helping others make beautiful spaces to helping others buy beautiful places. She prides herself on using her Communication skills to keep her valuable Passive Investors in the loop at all levels.
Lisa launched BurkeWood Capital with the idea that when you invest in Multifamily passively, there’s no dealing with toilets, tenants and hot water heaters. You invest, we manage, and you collect your share of the profits. That’s passive investing. That’s helping your hard-earned money make more money.
Lisa has completed extensive training with the most successful Multifamily Investor Syndicators in the DC-Maryland-Virginia (DMV) region and is well-versed in various types of Real Estate transactions. She is an active member of several regional Real Estate Investment Associations (REIAs). Lisa also helps educate Passive Investors as co-host of the weekly “Multifamily Investor Ladies” podcast.

Daniel Woodford
Daniel is the Co-Founder and Principal of Mission Bay Capital Partners, a leading real estate syndication company. Daniel started his real estate career in 2009 after serving 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. He is a seasoned multifamily operator with extensive experience in property valuation, acquisitions, and asset management. He is known for providing exceptional value for investors. Daniel holds a Masters Degree in Real Estate Development from George Mason University.
